KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian sprinter Azeem Fahmi led Auburn University to the men's 4x100m gold medal at the NCAA Championships in Oregon, United States, on Friday.

Running in lane five, Azeem, along with teammates Kanysola Ajayi, Dario Matau and Makanakishe Charamba, clocked a season-best time of 38.04s to secure the victory.

The quartet improved upon their previous season best of 38.38, which they achieved during the heats on Thursday.

However, Azeem's main mission is to qualify for the Paris Olympics on merit in the 100m, which he will attempt at the Malaysian Open in Kuantan from June 14-16 and the Kazakhstan Open on June 23-24.

The Olympic qualifying mark is 10.00.
