KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor FC (SFC) have announced increased security measures for the homes of its players and staff following the break-in at Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee's residence on May 23.

SFC chief executive officer Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon said the club will work closely with the police to conduct more frequent patrols, especially at Khuzaimi's home.

"SFC remains in close contact with the police and has increased patrols at Jimmy's (Khuzaimi) residence. If Jimmy prefers to stay in a hotel for his safety, we will arrange for it," said Johan.

"As for his case, we are still awaiting the results of the police investigation. We cannot draw conclusions or speculate whether this incident is related to his role as a football player or if it was a random misfortune."

The break-in occurred while Khuzaimi was training at the Selangor Training Centre in Shah Alam. According to the police report he shared on Instagram, Khuzaimi lost a motorcycle, four branded bags and his passport.

Johan added that SFC would also continue with the security measures implemented following the acid attack on Faisal Halim earlier this month.
