KUALA LUMPUR: Student Serena van Ooijen is a huge football fan, and it was a pleasant surprise for her to discover that Harimau Malaya would be playing Oman in a World Cup qualifier at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil tonight.

Born in the Netherlands, the 24-year-old grew up watching football and is a fan of 36-time Eredivisie champions, Ajax Amsterdam.

"I am watching this game tonight because I am a huge football fan. I am actually heading home tomorrow, so this is a perfect ending to my vacation. This is the first time I am watching a match in Malaysia, and I hope they win," said Van Ooijen.

Meanwhile, Adam Affryan and his five friends meticulously planned their trip to Bukit Jalil from Rawang, taking into consideration factors such as breaking fast, peak hours, and the crowd.

"We had planned to make our way here after Asar prayers because it's peak hour.

"We left Rawang at 4pm and arrived here close to 6pm. We came to break fast here. I am expecting a win, no matter how many goals. I hope to see Dion Cools score," said the 21-year-old.
