KUALA LUMPUR: National player Brendan Gan, who featured in the recent Asian Cup in Doha, has left Selangor.
The club confirmed on social media yesterday the midfielder's departure after four years with Selangor.
"Selangor Football Club sadly confirms the departure of team captain, Brendan after four seasons together.
"The midfielder will not be part of the Red Giants' team for the 2024 season.
"Brendan, who is the team leader, is a person who always exudes positive vibes and a never-give-up mindset, both of which are essential in a team. For four seasons with the Red Giants, his fighting spirit has greatly aided his teammates, particularly the young players on and off the pitch.
"A hero to many and one of the greatest to don the Red and Yellow, bids farewell," said Selangor FC in a statement.
