KUANTAN: Sri Pahang will give Selangor the respect they deserve when the two sides lock horns in a Super League match at the MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya tomorrow.

Pahang coach Fandi Ahmad said he considers the Red Giants as among the elites in the Super League this season.

"Other than Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), Selangor, Kedah and Terengganu are the elite teams (in the competition), while Pahang are the underdogs," said Fandi.

"We respect these teams, however, we will do our best to give them a run for their money.

Pahang defeated Kelantan 4-1 at home on Thursday. And they will have to produce their A-game when they play in-form Selangor tomorrow.

The Red Giants thrashed Kuching City 5-0 away in their last match on Thursday for their second straight league win.

Selangor's Jordanian midfielder Noor Al-Rawabdeh netted two goals during the match.

Fandi hopes his squad will continue with the strong form against Selangor.

Liberian striker Kpah Sherman will be key for Pahang.

"Hopefully, the win over Kelantan will give us confidence to perform better," said Fandi.

Fandi expects injured duo Nor Azam Azih and Kevin Ingreso to recover in time for the Selangor game.
