KUALA LUMPUR: Caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari says Pakatan Harapan (PH) may face backlash from its supporters after forming the unity government with Barisan Nasional (BN) last November.

However, Amirudin, who is re-contesting the Sungai Tua constituency, said PH-BN would bank on their seven months performance to convince the people to vote them to administer Selangor once again.

"We have worked together (since forming the unity government) and both coalitions have shown their abilities to govern.

"We have tackled various issues together. We ensured the proper supply chain and prices of goods are coming down while the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index is generating foreign investments, too.

"If we can convey all these achievements properly, there will be a new wave of unity from the people, a sense of coalition that is stable for the next three to four decades," he said after being declared one of three candidates contesting the Sungai Tua constituency.
