KUANTAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob's meeting with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Abdul Aziz lasted for over two hours, in which the discussion was believed to have been about the new cabinet line-up.

Ismail Sabri left the palace at Indera Mahkota here at about 1.38pm without speaking to the media gathered outside the main entrance.

He waved to the waiting newsmen as his Honda Accord official vehicle exited the palace gates heading towards the main road.

Earlier, Ismail Sabri who landed at the Kuantan Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base at about 10.30am, arrived at the palace at 10.53am.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail was later seen entering the palace compound at 11.20am.

Ismail Sabri and his entourage are scheduled to fly back to Kuala Lumpur from the RMAF base.

Talks are rife that the announcement on the new cabinet line-up would be done later today as he is scheduled to chair his first cabinet meeting tomorrow.

On Aug 23, during his visit to Kuala Muda in Yan, Kedah, the prime minister said the new cabinet line-up will be announced within this week.
