ALOR STAR: Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir said he was aware that some state civil servants were openly defying the current state administration.
"I know that some state government servants are openly supporting the opposition.
"It is not wrong, but we know of these people and some of them may be sabotaging the current government’s agenda," he said in a press conference held at the state Pakatan Harapan headquarters here last night.
He said there were many levels of government servants in the state who were supporting the opposition and he was monitoring the situation.
"I want to warn them that actions may be taken against those who sabotage the government's efforts."
He also commented on the recent Pas-Umno National Consensus Charter, and said that the intention behind their cooperation would likely fail.
"They are merging for political reasons and it has nothing to do with helping the Malays. They will ultimately fail," said Mukhriz.
