PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s (Bersatu) women’s wing Srikandi hopes to get 200,000 new members by the end of 2019.

Its chief Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun said that they are implementing several measures to boost its membership.

“At this time, Srikandi only has 70,000 members since it was set up on April 5, 2017. To get members, there must have faith in our cause.

“We expect Srikandi’s membership to rise to 200,000 by end of next year, based on studies conducted after the party came into power,” she told a press conference at the sidelines of the Bersatu second annual assembly here today.

Rina said party leaders needed to convince the people that they had made the best choice in the 14th General Election (GE14).

“As leaders in the government, we must prove that we can give the best services to the people.

“We have to be more creative and innovative despite financial drawbacks, so that we can give the best service to the people.”
