KUALA LUMPUR: The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) will await a comprehensive report on the crash involving a tour bus and a trailer in Rompin, Pahang last Sunday before determining further actions to be taken.

In a statement, the agency said it is working with other agencies to get a full report on the accident.

"A show cause letter has been issued to the company involved, to get an explanation about the incident. Should the findings and reports reveal any violations of the licence terms of service by the company, their licence will be suspended or revoked under Section 45 or Section 62 of the Land Public Transport Act 2010."

The agency said the tour bus involved was licenced under Zuzin Holiday Sdn Bhd, while the trailer was licenced under LSM Metal Ace Sdn Bhd.

On Sunday, two SK Jeram teachers and a 60-year-old operation assistant were among four people killed in the 12.40am incident after the tour bus they were in crashed into a trailer at the Bahau junction before flipping over on its side on a slope.

The tour bus ferrying 39 people — two drivers and 37 passengers including 22 teachers along with their children and five school support staff — was travelling to Terengganu from SK Jeram in Masjid Tanah, Melaka.
