JERANTUT: Muhammad Izwan Hanif Ielaham, 18, achieved excellent results with As in all 10 subjects of the Siji Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2023 examinations that he sat for.

The son of an ice delivery truck driver also obtained an A+ for six subjects: Bahasa Melayu, English, Pendidikan Islam, History, Mathematics, and Tasawwur Islam.

The Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Inderapura student also achieved an A for Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science, as well as an A- in Additional Mathematics.

Sharing the recipe for his success, he said, among his emphases were giving full focus to teaching and learning (PdP) in class, showing respect towards teachers, consistently revising, and attending extra classes.

"I also discuss studies with school friends, including during leisure time when school holidays, whether at my home or a friend's. It helps strengthen my memory of the subjects. I also go to the library for revision," said Muhammad Izwan Hanif, who is the youngest of three siblings.

"Furthermore, involvement in co-curricular activities also helps shape my personality and boost my self-confidence," he said.

He represented the Jerantut district in English language competitions at the state level in 'Story Telling' and 'Spelling' events.

Muhammad Izwan Hanif said he sees his sister, who is currently studying law, as his source of inspiration.

"I aspire to become a teacher as a form of worship in imparting knowledge to children in the country," he said.

Meanwhile, his father, Ielaham Hissin, 54, said their entire family was happy and grateful for Muhammad Izwan Hanif's success.
