The suspects, aged between 30 and 34, were caught around 6pm by the National Registration Department (NRD) officers while working in Kajang.

They were detained after being monitored and investigated for two weeks.

The investigations revealed that one of the identity cards used was borrowed from a friend, while another was in possession of a fake identity card

"They were found to have been using fake identity cards for periods ranging from four months to two years.

"They have been detained and will be brought before the Magistrate's Court in Kajang and can be charged under Section 25(1)(e) of the National Registration Regulations 1990.
