KUALA LUMPUR: Embracing the nostalgia of yesteryears, Media Prima Berhad (MPB) hosted an Aidilfitri open house event themed "Macam Dulu-Dulu" at a leading hotel here today.
The event, which commenced at 4pm, saw a gathering of around 5,000 guests.
Distinguished attendees included Tengku Laksamana Selangor, Tengku Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, and Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.
The presence of prominent figures such as Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay added to the event's prestige.
MPB group managing director Rafiq Razali expressed delight at the event's vibrant atmosphere, emphasising its significance as a platform for MPB to engage with its partners from diverse sectors, including government agencies, private enterprises, and the arts community.
"The enthusiastic participation of our partners, spanning advertisers, media representatives, ministries, filmmakers, and artistes, among others, has been truly encouraging. This year's response has been particularly lively compared to previous editions," he said.
The chosen theme, "Macam Dulu-Dulu," is aimed to evoke the joy and camaraderie reminiscent of festive celebrations from the 1960s, emphasising values of familial bonds and mutual respect.

Guests indulged in a delectable spread of classic Eid delicacies, including rendang, ketupat, satay, and pulut hitam (black glutinous rice).
