JASIN: Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh has claimed he received information about a death threat against him over his stand on the "Allah" socks issue.

In a Facebook post, the Merlimau assemblyman said he received a call this morning from an unknown person.

"The person voiced concern as he heard about a death threat against me, that I would be shot dead if I continued to talk about the KK Mart issue."

Akmal has been at the forefront of calls for action and a boycott against KK Mart, which was found to have sold socks bearing the name "Allah".
