KUALA LUMPUR: Khairuddin Othman has been appointed as the Director-General for the Community Communication Department (J-Kom), replacing Mohammad Agus Yusoff.
The Information Department congratulates Khairuddin in 'X' on his appointment, effective today.
The Director-General position has been vacant since Agus resigned in November last year, stating that he had received a new job offer.
Previously, Agus was embroiled in controversy along with his staff member Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani, after being involved in a video call that featured a salacious conversation.
They stated that while the video was authentic, the audio had been manipulated, suggesting that it was tampered with by someone they identified as "Mr H". This individual is currently facing an investigation related to the allegations.
