MERADONG: The community landscaping projects at Rumah Maja and Rumah Ujang have reached completion, marking a significant enhancement in the local infrastructure.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit, the projects were funded through the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) with an allocation of RM80,000. The project handover was officiated by the Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, on Wednesday.

During the event, Datuk Ding expressed his satisfaction with the timely completion of the projects, which were finished ahead of schedule. He also visited another RTP project site where a new parking bay and major road expansion at SK Rentap are underway with a budget of RM100,000.

The newly completed projects are expected to not only improve the aesthetic appeal of the local villages but also to provide functional spaces for community gatherings and events.
