KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian Armed Forces' (ATM) personnel passes fainted during the Parade of Thanks to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI at the Army Square in Sungai Besi Camp here today.

The personnel, who was leading one of the march-past troops, passed out just before the final marching out, drawing concerns from the attendees.

His comrade quickly ran to the scene to check on him before he was escorted out of the area.

However, the incident did not disrupt the ceremony.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah graced the Parade of Thanks to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI today.

The ceremony symbolises the Malaysian Armed Forces' (ATM) appreciation to the Majesty who is the Supreme Commander of ATM and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah at the end of their official five-year tenure as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong from 2019 to 2024.

Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar will succeed him effective Jan 31 this year.
