SUBANG: Three individuals, including two children, were injured when a Proton Exora multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) veered off the road in Jalan Kempas, Kampung Tengah in Puchong yesterday.

The incident, which occurred at 6.28 pm, gained attention on social media after the vehicle collided with three other vehicles parked on the roadside.

Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the accident involved an MPV, three motorcycles and a pickup truck.

"Initial investigations found that the MPV driver from Putra Heights was heading towards Kampung Kenangan, Batu 13. Upon reaching the location, the driver allegedly lost control and veered off the road.

"The driver collided with three motorcycles and a pickup truck on the roadside. An adult and two children who were on one of the motorcycles were injured.

"All three victims were taken to Serdang Hospital for further treatment," he said in a statement today.

Wan Azlan said further investigations would be conducted under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He urged witnesses or members of the public with information about the incident to come forward by contacting the investigating officer of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD), Inspector Mohamad Hamdan Jeramatin at 019-4642222.

Earlier, a 30-second closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the incident location went viral on social media today.

The recording showed a Proton Exora suddenly veering off and colliding with a motorcycle carrying three victims who were stopped on the roadside.
