KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall has seized various items from foreign vendors operating in public spaces in the northern city centre, particularly around the Selayang wholesale market and Taman Batu View.

City Hall shared in a Facebook post that the Enforcement Department and the Batu Branch Office collaborated on a Special Operation to Remove Obstacles, seizing goods and equipment placed in public areas by these foreign vendors.

The local authority implemented 10 measures to relocate these items, emphasising violations of the Road, Drainage and Building Act 1974 and the Small Traders Licensing (WPKL) Act 2016.

"The confiscated items encompassed a range of goods, including foldable umbrellas, vegetables, fish, live chickens, and more."

All seized goods and equipment have been transported to the City Hall store located at Jalan Lombong in Taman Miharja Cheras for documentation and further actions.
