KUALA LUMPUR: A video clip of Masterchef Australia season 14 judges enjoying nasi lemak and eating with their hands has received attention and praise from netizens on Tiktok.

The video shared by TikTok user @auntieshopee_, shows Kuala Lumpur-born Alvin Quah serving nasi lemak as a dish on the cooking competition and a judge, Andy Allen, savouring it with his hands.

"The jury are enjoying it the best way, with our hands, it's tastier," said the Tiktok user.

Other netizens also praised the jury's actions.

"Mat Salleh eats nasi lemak with (hands), great," said user @nora zura.

"I like to see white people eating nasi with their hands... (it's funny and) looks clumsy... Anyway, thank you for loving nasi lemak," said another user @norfatihah

User @Nasrul Ulique Nevil described the actions of the judge who usually uses a spoon and fork as extraordinary.

"Nice.. using their hands… That's rare,"he said.

In the video, the judges are first seen chatting with Alvin while he prepares the nasi lemak.

"What are you cooking?" asked the judge

"Nasi Lemak. If I eat this, I feel like I'm sitting on the side of the road enjoying it with Malaysian coffee.

"There is beef rendang here and I will also serve this nasi lemak with some peanuts and anchovies. I have pickled cucumbers too and just waiting for the hard boiled eggs to cook.

"And if I could make you eat (nasi lemak) with your hands, I would," Alvin told the two judges.

The next clip shows the judges being served nasi lemak for their tasting and judging session, where judge Andy Allen can be seen immediately scooping up the nasi lemak with his hands and eating it.

"It's delicious," said Andy as he continued to eat with his hands while the other judges just looked at him.

At that moment, it was clear that there was only one thing on Andy's mind and that was nasi lemak.
