KUALA LUMPUR: An e-sport player's way of eating a pack of nasi lemak has tickled the funny bone of Malaysian netizens.
In a post on X, e-sports team OG esports posted a video of the team member eating the Malaysian favourite dish in a podcast show.
The video, titled 'How To Eat Nasi Lemak' showed the host and fellow guests settling for the customary spoonfuls of 'nasi lemak bungkus', when one of the team named Slacks veered off the beaten path.
In a rather unexpected move, Slacks decided against the usual practice of unwrapping the banana leaf and eating the nasi lemak contents with a spoon.
Instead, much to everyone's surprise, he opted to consume the dish in its entirety, leaf and all, dubbing it a 'wrap.'
"What? Did I eat a leaf? I thought it was real?!" Slacks said.
Another guest explained that the leaf is there to support the food.

"You're not supposed to eat that even I know this, dude," he said.
The spontaneous act elicited a chorus of laughter from all present, including the podcast's host and other guests.
The post saw reactions from Malaysian netizens, amused by the antiques of eating nasi lemak.
@SyeraAisya commented: "It's real! (the leaf) but people don't eat that!"
"Dude, at least google on how to eat the nasi lemak if you don't know," @alientorg said.
Meanwhile, @DisharahRahat1 said the act was akin to goats grazing the grass.
"Hahhahah, you look like a goat by eating those banana leaves."
The video has since been liked more than 2,000 times with almost half a million views.
