SHAH ALAM: A plane which crashed near the Elmina township here is believed to be a private chartered flight arriving from Langkawi.

A Beechcraft Premiere twin-jet with the tail number N28jV was expected to arrive at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport at 2.49pm today.

Information of the aircraft and flight details were circulated among private WhatsApp channels.

Checks on the ground revealed that the plane likely hit three motorists at the site when it crashed.

Police have since blocked the affected roads to redirect traffic.
