KUALA LUMPUR: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) did not receive any major complaints for the Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme (SHMMP).

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said the only reports that he received were related to the shortage of eggs in Kelantan and Terengganu.

"When the media reported the egg supply shortage, our officers immediately went to the ground and investigated. Later on, there is an oversupply of eggs.

"I was informed by the enforcement authorities that there were no complaints or objections to the ceiling price set for the Hari Raya price control scheme," he said.

Meanwhile, other reports were related to non-display of price tags only. The 16-day price control scheme was enforced on 30 items effective from April 15 to 30.
