KUALA LUMPUR: Toh Puan Mahani Idris, wife of former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, passed away last night.
The cause of her death has not been disclosed.
"It is with a heavy heart that we inform all that Mami (Mahani) has peacefully returned to God almighty," an online portal quoted a source close to the family as saying.
The final rites will take place at Masjid Kampung Baru today at 10am, followed by prayers at Surau Hidayat in Seri Kembangan.
Mahani will be laid to rest at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery.
She leaves behind five children.
