TUARAN: An autistic boy who went missing yesterday has been found 2 kilometres away from his home at Taman D'sri Gayang last night.

The eight-year-old victim was found at 9.43pm by the rescue team and members of the public.

His family realised he was missing at 5pm and sought the help of authorities.

District Fire and Rescue chief Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar said the boy was found at a bush near Gayang Seafood Restaurant.

"The victim was safe, and he only suffered from fatigue," he said, adding the boy was barefoot when found and had been sent to the Tuaran Hospital.
