KUALA LUMPUR: Teenage girl Nur Hidayati Duwaijah Mazlan who went missing from her home in Kampung Bandar Dalam, Sentul, on Monday, was found in Bangi, yesterday.

Sentul district police chief ACP Beh Eng Lai said the 17-year-old was found safe and sound, though he did not reveal details or the exact place in Bangi where she was found.

"We were made to understand that the teen went missing because she went looking for a job and wanted to live independently. We don't deny that it could have been because of differences among family members," he told BH today.

Beh declined to reveal other details, saying that a statement on the case would be issued soon. 

A police report was lodged on the 17-year-old's disappearance by her parents on June 21.

Investigations revealed the teen went missing after leaving her home at a condominium unit in Kampung Bandar Dalam here at 7.20pm on Monday.
