BUTTERWORTH: Superheroes, mascots and characters from  the South Korean drama series Squid Game distributed  bubur lambuk to visitors at the Seberang Jaya Ramadan Bazaar on Sunday.

Event organiser Mohamad Syukur Mohd Patthi, 28, said his friends and himself, who call themselves "Geng Superhero Penang" or  the Penang Superhero Gang, ordered 200 packs of bubur lambuk to be given out to visitors.

The porridge  was snapped up within 15 minutes.

He said the programme had received an encouraging response over the past two years when the country was battling the Covid-19 pandemic.

Syukur said  his friends and himself, who have  superhero costumes, enjoyed organising similar activities  to spread cheer among the community.

"This is also one of our hobbies, apart from us getting side income from  costume show events."
