MUAR: The "Dapur Prihatin" programme recently saw cooked food delivered to the Orang Asli community in Kampung Sentosa, Bukit Kepong near here.

The gotong-royong team from the Pagoh Parliament Community Service office started preparations the night before and cooking started as early as 7am.

Over 600 packed meals of rice, chicken curry, mixed vegetables and apples were delivered during lunch time to Orang Asli homes supervised by Janariah Abu Nawan, chairman of Suri Prihatin Pagoh, a non-governmental organisation.

"Many of the Orang Asli families need help and we are glad to be able to do this for them," said Pagoh Parliament office secretary Atiman Kadar.

Muar Orang Asli Development Department representatives Mohd Farizan Amran and its health department officer Wan Meideta Riska Wan Sariman also participated in distribution.
