MUAR: Volunteers are continuing to deliver food items to the needy around here under the Dapur Prihatin programme.

A convoy has been going around to distribute the much required items in Pergam, Kampung Bukit Selabu, Kampung Jalan Raja, Kampung Jorak, Temiang, Kampung Tengah and Bukit Treh, among others.

Bersatu Pagoh deputy division head Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal, and Armada and Srikandi Bersatu Pagoh chiefs Mohd Shamsuddin Paijan and Janariah Abu Nawan were among those in the convoy.

"I am thankful to all the volunteers who were with us during this pandemic and helped deliver all kinds of food items," said Shamsuddin.

Shamsuddin added that feedback from village heads and needy folk prompted the launch of Dapur Prihatin.

"Many B40 recipients and single mothers welcomed cooked meals," said Janariah.
