KOTA BELUD: An octogenarian who was reported missing since Sept 11 was found safe this morning.

Tianun Padis, 86, who appeared tired was spotted walking from the junction of Kampung Ginapa by villagers at 7.45am.

District police chief Superintendent Sahimi Husin confirmed the incident.

"After the rescue team was informed, the victim who suffered minor injuries was given treatment before being sent to the Kota Belud Hospital in an ambulance for further treatment.

"The Search and Rescue operation ended at 9.30am after the victim was sent to the hospital," he added.

Police thanked all rescue teams and involved since the operation was launched on Sept 12.

On the day of the incident at 8.30am, the victim had gone to her old house which was about 500 meters away to feed her chickens.

However, the woman did not return and family members decided to lodge a police report the following day.
