KUALA LUMPUR: A two-week Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will be imposed on 18 residential areas in Bandar Muadzam Shah, Rompin, Pahang starting tomorrow.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the decision to enforce the EMCO was made after the Health Ministry recorded 13 positive cases linked to the Hikmah cluster, involving the Al-Muadzam Shah Mosque congregation members and their families, who live in these residential areas.

"The Health Ministry also confirms that there was a spike in cases among the community, where 13 of the cases were reported within 10 days.

"However, the EMCO will not involve the satellite town," he said in a statement today.

The EMCO, slated to end on Feb 22, would affect 9,805 residents and 2,178 homes in:

- Desa Bidara

- Desa Keranji

- Taman Redan Perdana
