ALOR STAR: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) has chided Pas for accusing the federal government of sidelining the east coast states in the recently tabled 2019 Budget.

Amanah vice-president Datuk Husam Musa said Pas refused to act maturely and tried to engage in constant politicking even though the 14th General Election was over.

Denying Pas' allegation, Husam claimed the Pakatan Harapan government was not in favour of the discriminatory policies that were practised by the previous administration.

"My advice (to Pas) is, don't be antagonistic and don't behave like schoolchildren. It's unnecessary to specifically mention Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis in the 2019 Budget.

"If (initiatives) were mentioned under the Rural Development Ministry, it means that Kelantan is also included.

"Just because Kelantan is under Pas rule, it doesn't mean that we have to mention each and every (initiative) during the tabling.

"Learn from Terengganu Pas who are apparently more mature than the Kelantan (state government) that is afraid of its own shadow," Husam said after officiating the Kedah Amanah Convention here today.

Husam said unlike Terengganu Pas, the Pas-led Kelantan state government was still arrogant as it had never suffered a defeat in the general election.

Yesterday, Pas deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man claimed that the Pakatan Harapan government had ignored the east coast states in the 2019 Budget.

Calling it unfair, Tuan Ibrahim had said there were no details on projects for the east coast states and that there may have been negligence in terms of government planning.
