KUALA LUMPUR: "Malaysia hebat, Malaysia Hebat" resounded around the Bukit Jalil Axiata Arena that was turned into a sea of blue with the presence of 40,000 Barisan Nasional supporters to witness the launch of the coalition's most ambitious manifesto.

Multiracial supporters from all walks of life, all garbed in blue, gathered at the arena starting from around 4pm to witness the bold and all-encompassing manifesto presented by BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

With the theme “biru pilihanku”, the Axiata Arena was seen decorated with BN flags and buntings.

The indoor stadium was fully packed with some supporters siting on the floor.

The patriotic song “Hebatnya Malaysiaku” was sung for the first time by singer Zazrina Zainuddin .

“This song tells of BN’s achievements in governing Malaysia, under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“I am very proud to be given such a great opportunity to sing “Hebatnya Malaysiaku”,” she told NSTP reporters when met during the manifesto’s preparation.

Zazrina, 31, who is also a Malaysia Gazette broadcast journalist, said previously she had sung songs like IM4U, Melaka Maju Negeriku Sayang and Sayangi Selangor Yakini BN.

“This song was created by songwriter Anuar Razak on the morning of March 31 and since then, we have been rehearsing the song for tonight’s launch.

“We had also prepared a videoclip on Monday and Tuesday for the song,” she said.

Earlier, BN supporters were seen making beeline for the 100 food trucks.

Organised by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama), the food trucks were placed at the main entrance as well as the side entrance of Axiata Arena.

The food trucks started taking orders at 6pm and will be here until the end of the event.
