REMBAU: It took 15 minutes for police and North-South Expressway (PLUS) patrol officers to retrieve the scattered pieces of brain matter belonging to the victim of a crash at Km226.5 of the PLUS highway here last night.

Mohd Haziq Haikal Yahaya, 20, who was riding his Honda EX5 motorcycle from Melaka towards Senawang, was killed when he was involved in a multiple-vehicle collision at 11pm.

Haziq, who was from Kampung Kundur Hulu, Rembau, is believed to have rear-ended a yet-to-be-identified vehicle before he fell onto the road and was run over by several other vehicles.

Police are still in the process of identifying all the vehicles involved in the incident.

"The incident caused severe injuries to the victim’s head, and both his hands were broken. Police and PLUS patrol officers collected the remains.

“The location was dark and we took about 15 minutes to clean up the road (of body parts).

"The victim’s remains were taken to the Tampin Hospital for a post-mortem. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987," Rembau district Police chief Assistant Superintendent Nazruel Ekram Abu Shari said.
