SEREMBAN: When Datuk Adzwan Ab Manas found faeces outside his laundry shop in Jalan Manickavasagam Labu, he at first thought a dog had done its “business” there.

But checks of closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) recordings showed the “deposit” was actually human faeces.

Adzwan found the faeces outside his shop at least three times and CCTV recordings revealed that the same person — a female secondary school student based on the uniform she was wearing — was the culprit.

“The first two incidents occurred last month and the latest last Wednesday. When I checked the CCTV, I discovered that the act was done by the same person at the same spot.

“At first, I planned to ignore the incidents as I had thought that the girl could have some problems that needed her to relieve herself there and then. But based on the CCTV recording, it was clear to me that the act was purposely done at my shop, and what was more disappointing is the fact that a woman, whom I believe is the culprit’s mother, was there covering her daughter when the latter was doing her business,” he said.

Adzwan said he was unsure as to the motive behind the act.

“There are many other laundry shops and food premises here. I don’t know why the girl chose my shop as her target. I have been running my business here for three years but this is the first time this kind of incident has happened,” he said, adding that he would lodge a report at the district police headquarters soon.

Images from the recording went viral recently, with netizens condemning the act and describing it as uncivilised.
