SEREMBAN: They say the worst fate that can befall anyone is when a parent has to bury his or her own child.

In the case of Nor Hadila Abu Hassan, 24, and Mohd Shawal Asmadi, 32, the couple have had to bury not one, but four of their beloved children.

All four children had died of the same heart condition, Cardiac Arrhythmias, also known as irregular heartbeat, all at different stages of their lives.

The young couple had to face tragedy yet again today, when they buried their youngest child, one-year-old Muhammad Adam Firdaus Mohd Syawal.

Muhammad Adam breathed his last at the paediatric intensive care unit Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital Seremban at 5pm yesterday.

He was laid to rest at the Kampung Seri Mantau Muslim cemetery in Seremban at 11am today.

Muhammad Adam, the couple's fourth child, joins his sister, five-year-old Nur A'in Shuhada, and brother Muhamad Syazlan, who was one, in their final resting place.

The couple's three other children died of the same heart disease in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

Nor Hadila said Muhammad Adam was buried in the same grave, right next to Nur A'in Shuhada and Muhamad Syazlan.

"I did not think there was any room in the grave but Allah answered my prayers."

"My other child Nur A'in Syazlin is buried in Kelantan," she said at her house in Kampung Batu 3, Mambau, today.

Asked on the heart condition, Nor Hadila said she and her husband as well as other family members had undergone check-ups and the doctor cleared them of any heart diseases.

She said she and her husband are scheduled to meet a genetics specialist at Kuala Lumpur Hospital in the near term for further checks.
