BACHOK: "It is really sad that I could only hug him for three years. But having his twin here with me, I hope my grief can slowly be cured."

This is how Ruslina Rusli, 26, tried to console herself after the death of his son Muhamad Abeel Qaiz Faizal Fazrin due to heat stroke four days ago

The three-year-old boy who was the first victim of heat stroke in Kelantan, and the second heat stroke death recorded nationwide. He died on Monday while being treated at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian.

When recalling the incident on March 29, Ruslina said she was preparing the traditional delicacies to be sold at her foodstall when Qaiz, who is the third of five siblings, approached her.

"Qaiz told me that he wanted to follow his twin brother Muhamad Abeel Waiz and two others brothers - Muhamd Aqil Amsyar, 7, and five-year-old Muhamad Aryan Rizqi to play inside their grandfather's old car.

"It was about noon and realised that he might be thirsty. I gave Qaiz a glass of iced water.

"He then went to the car which was parked at the back of our home with his three siblings.

"I did not know when his two brothers and his twin returned home because I was usy preparing the delicacies. I was only informed about Qaiz being left alone inside the abandoned car about two hours later."

Ruslina said she and her mother Zainun Mat Amin rushed to the car and found Qaiz in a semi-conscious condition.

"I screamed for my husband Faizal Fazrin Rosidi to help. He was resting at that time.

"We then rushed my son to the Bachok health clinic but he was later transferred to HUSM where he died four days later," she added.

Ruslina and Faizal, 33, have accepted the incident as a test from Allah.

"Although the incident shocked us but we have accepted it as a fate."

She said her son was laid to rest at a cemetery in her village after the Asar prayers on April 1.
