BACHOK: This year's Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration is meaningless to vegetable seller Ruslina Rusli, who recently lost her 3-year-old son to heat stroke.

The 26-year-old said she and her husband, Faizal Fazrin Rosidi, did not make any preparation for the celebration as they are still mourning the death of Muhamad Abeel Qaiz.

"We used to prepare traditional delicacies such as ketupat and tapai but this year, we are not in the mood to celebrate Hari Raya.

"Some of our relatives and friends who visited us yesterday expressed their condolences to us."

She said her family visited Qaiz's grave in Kampung Teluk yesterday.

"It has been 11 days since Qaiz left us and we are still grieving. His two brothers and twin really miss him a lot," said Ruslina.

The boy and his siblings were playing inside their grandfather's car when the incident occurred on March 29.

He died on April 1 while being treated at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian.
