KAJANG: Three men believed to be Bangladeshis were killed when they were hit by a KTM Komuter train near Taman Puncak Utama in Jade Hill, here, yesterday.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the department received a distress call at 10.53pm and deployed a team of firemen from the Kajang station to the scene.

"Preliminary information obtained from the operations commander revealed that the three had trespassed onto the railway tracks when they were hit by the Komuter train last night," he said in a brief statement.

Mukhlis said all three men were pronounced dead at the scene by a medical team which had also been called to the scene.

"All three victims, in their 30s and 40s, were thrown off the track to the side by the incident. All their bodies were intact.

"The operation ended at 12.15am and the remains were handed over to the police for further action," he said.
