KUALA LUMPUR: The forensic team from Bukit Aman and Selangor police headquarters once again conducted a reenactment of events that happened prior to Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin's death at the boy's neighbourhood near here this morning.

The team arrived at the apartment blocks in Damansara Damai, Petaling Jaya about 11am and its members were seen accompanying a child, who had allegedly seen Zayn Rayyan during the evening of his disappearance on Dec 5. The child reenacted the boy's movements.

The forensic team conducted a reenactment of events at Block R before the child witness was taken to the staircase near some bushes.

However, the media could only take pictures and observe from a distance and were not allowed to approach the apartment area.

The reenactment involved two child witnesses, who were also friends of the victim, aged six and nine.

The reenactment was carried out to determine if there was any new evidence from the staircase of Block R leading to the riverbank where Zayn Rayyan's body was found.

Harian Metro reported yesterday that the police identified two more child witnesses related to Zayn Rayyan's murder through mass screening.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan had said that they have obtained 86 statements so far, and more statements will be taken if necessary.

Zayn Rayyan's death has been classified as a murder case after a post-mortem revealed injuries to the child's neck and body.

His body was found in a drain near a water tank 200m from his home in Apartmen Idaman, Damansara Damai about 10pm on Dec 6.
