KUALA LUMPUR: Police have identified the woman whose body was found cemented in a house in Pandamaran, Klang, Selangor on Dec 4.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the victim is in her 30s and is an Indian national with an estimated height of about 160cm.
"The victim, who is also a friend of the suspect, lived in the rented house. The police are seeking assistance from the Indian embassy to obtain information and to contact her family.
"The police have also prepared a facial sketch of the victim to share with the media," he said when contacted today.
Hussein said the police also have information about the identity of the suspect, who is also an Indian national.
"A warrant for the arrest of the suspect will be obtained. We will also seek assistance from the Indian embassy and the Indian police to track down and apprehend the man.
"With the findings of this investigation, the police considers this case closed and we are in the process of completing the investigation papers."
He urged the public with information about the case to contact the investigators or to go to any nearby police station.

Police had said it received a report from a local man at 10.58pm on Dec 3 on the discovery of the body in a bathroom of the house.
Further investigation found that the complainant had rented out his house in Kampung Pendamar to two foreign men for two years from August 2019 and October 2021.
Before renting it out, he inspected the house and found that a section of the bathroom wall was cemented.
Police had arrested a foreign man in connection with her body's discovery, and a manhunt was also launched for two other men who were previous tenants of the house.
