KUALA LUMPUR: Sony Malaysia is expanding its existing Extra Bass series of headphones and speakers with several additions to the line-up.

Whether they are at home or on the move, users can now enjoy deep bass notes wherever they are with the CTK-XB7, the one box high power audio system with immense power and new flashy EDM lighting. Its two large 16cm woofers help to deliver powerful low frequency sounds.

Sony's Extra Bass sound uses DSP (digital signal processing) technology that cleverly processes frequencies according to the source while maintaining excellent audio quality.

With the DSP technology, music sounds and even feels more powerful, with punchy and deep bass notes defined by today's pulsing electronic dance tracks. The speaker also helps bring a festival-like vibe as its 3-way line lights, strobe and speaker lights interact with the music and changes colour.

The XB7 units can be stacked on top of each other to create multi-layout either vertically or horizontally. It also comes with a handy Speaker Add function that allows you to hook it up with a second XB7 unit via Bluetooth. The speaker is also NFC-enabled and can be hooked up to another NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet.

For more cool DJ-style effects, users can download Sony's SongPal app on their mobile devices and use it as a controller. While playing music, users can also charge their mobile devices via USB when connected to the XB7. There is also an audio input for connecting MP3 players or any other sound source.
