Spotify, the Swedish music streaming, podcast and video service that gives listeners on-demand access to over 30 million tracks, has some new audio shows in its 'Originals' series for its followers and subscribers. The two brand new audio series – Secret Genius and AM/PM – are both artist-led, featuring renowned artists and producers talking exclusively to Spotify.

AM/PM is an on-demand audio show where the guests (well-known artists and producers) tell what music fires them up every morning (AM) and what they turn to when it's time to wind down in the evening (PM). There's always a story attached to their particular choices, and listeners get a sneak peek into the lives of the artists when they follow the show – at sun-up and sun-down.

Talking about her AM Playlist, Wolf Alice frontwoman Ellie Rowsell revealed that endless touring on a sleeper bus had "turned her into a vampire" who wakes up at 3pm. In tribute to that sense of oddness, Rowsell made her AM selection "aggressive, with a go at life with a bite attitude", picking songs like Bad Brains' 'Sailin' On', Foals' 'Inhaler' and Le Tigre 'Deceptacon' to get her and the band ready for another show.

On his PM playlist, Tinie Tempah said that when he's trying to impress a girl his playlist will always "focus on putting people onto tunes they haven't heard before" and that's when he strives to make the music on his episode "as new and as fresh as possible."

AM/PM will be streamed in two separate shows for each person, and there are some fantastic names in the line-up including Tinie Tempah, Wolf Alice, Jean Michel Jarre and legendary Specials frontman Terry Hall. Listeners can look out for Kaiser Chiefs, De La Soul, The Kills, Lianne La Havas, The Maccabees and Hot Chip in future episodes too.

As for Secret Genius, the show is about great songwriters who often dwell in the shadows, but create amazing music. This on-demand audio show features interviews with acclaimed, and up-and-coming songwriters, all of whom have created incredible music for us to listen to. They answer questions about their work and collaborations.

The show launches with Nick Van Eede (who wrote Cutting Crew's 'I Just Died In Your Arms') and Ed Drewett (who's written for One Direction and Olly Murs), with future episodes focusing on Nicky Chinn (one half of ChinniChap, the early 70s hit factory responsible for a wealth of beautifully over-the-top, gum-chewing glam pop) and Ryan Tedder who, alongside his starring role in OneRepublic also writes with U2, Adele, Elton John and Ed Sheeran.

Spotify has worked with independent radio production companies for the two new interview-focused shows: Cup and Nuzzle for AM/PM and Grape for Secret Genius.
