KUALA LUMPUR: Jennie Kim of BlackPink has reached 1.2 billion streams on Spotify, the first K-Pop female singer to do so without a solo album.
Allkpop reported yesterday that Jennie, 28, surpassed girl group New Jeans' peak monthly listeners on Spotify as well as those of boy band BTS.

Her success has catapulted her to an impressive 33,186,353 monthly listeners, the highest ever for a female solo K-Pop artiste.
She now ranks as the second-highest K-Pop artiste on the platform, closing in on the first place with a three million listener difference.
Jennie did it without releasing any album, but only three songs Solo, You & Me and One Of The Girls.
