GEORGE TOWN : A 26-year-old motorist risked life and limb to save the life of a cat today.

In the 1.15pm incident, the man lost control of his car and crashed into the road divider after he swerved to avoid the cat.

He suffered injuries on his elbow and knees in the incident.

Northeast District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the victim was brought to Penang Hospital for treatment.

"The case will be investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 and no additional cars were involved in the incident," he said today.
