KUALA LUMPUR: The Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, today dismissed rumours that he is getting married soon.

In a series of posts on his Instagram stories from his social media account @this.7, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim requested that people respect his decision and privacy regarding personal matters such as marriage.

"As a prince and heir apparent of the state, I deeply appreciate the concern and interest shown in my personal life by the public.

"However, I request that my personal decisions and privacy regarding my future marriage be respected.

"I believe that such significant life choices should be made thoughtfully and at a time that is right for me."

In the same posting, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim added: "For now, I am committed to serving the King and the State, and will carry out my responsibilities with full dedication."

In a subsequent post on his Instagram stories, Tengku Hassanal wrote "No Wedding, takde kahwin" and "Jangan kacau saya" (please do not disturb me).
