NIBONG TEBAL: Three children on a fun-ride out on a motorcycle had their joy shortlived after their machine rammed into a stalled pick-up truck on the road shoulder at Sungai Acheh here today.
In the 11am incident, the three young children, aged five, 10 and 15 was riding along Jalan Pekan Sg Acheh when the collision occurred.
South Seberang Prai police chief Supt Shafien Mamat said the five-year-old was killed on-the-spot, as he was sitting in the basket.
"The children did not wear any helmet. All of them hurled forward. The five-year-old was hurt seriously." he said when contacted.
The two other children were sent to the Sungai Bakap hospital for outpatient treatment.
