GEORGE TOWN: A total of 47 people, including five women believed to be drug addicts, were detained in two raids on Jalan Tanjung Bungah and Jalan Batu Ferringhi this morning.
Northeast District police chief assistance commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said police conducted urine tests on 82 people in the 2am operation.
He said 44 of them tested positive for methamphetamine and three other positive for ketamine.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(3) and Section 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
