JOHOR BARU: Police have arrested 11 suspects in connection with the brazen shooting incident in front of the Nusajaya district police headquarters at Taman Nusa Bestari near here on Monday.

Johor police chief Datuk Mokhtar Shariff said police nabbed all 11 suspects, aged between 35 and 56, during the special operation within the Nusajaya district.

"We are looking at all angles to determine the motive for the shooting," he said at the Johor police contingent headquarters today.

Mokhtar said the operation was formed by a special task force led by Johor criminal investigations department chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan after the incident on Monday afternoon.

During the incident at 1.20pm, a gunman and his accomplice had chased a 38-year-old debt collector in their car and fired three shots towards the latter who was taking shelter at the police station.

The daring act had prompted police to take immediate action.
