GEORGE TOWN: Penang police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi says there are no more illegal gambling and vice dens in the state.

He said those with information on the activities or premises should report the matter to the police.

"As far as I am concerned, there is no more illegal gambling and vice dens in the state," he said when asked on claims by Permatang Umno division chairman Datuk Mohd Zaidi Said and Penang Umno Youth chief Rafizal Abdul Rahim that such activities were still rampant in the state.

He refused to comment on the duo's claims but urged those with information on illegal gambling and vice dens to report them to the police.

Abdul Rahim said to date, police had seized more than 6,000 gambling machines and made 441 arrests for illegal gambling and vice activities.
